The Sambali language is spoken by about 200,000 people in the 5 northern towns of Zambales province; Iba, Palauig, Masinloc, Candelaria and Sta. Cruz and some towns of Pangasinan; Infanta, Anda and Bolinao.

An estimated 6,000 Sambali speakers can also be found in Panitian, Quezon, Palawan and Puerto Princesa City.

Botolan Sambal, on the other hand, is spoken primarily in the Zambaleño municipalities of Botolan and Cabangan.
